pearlblack operates this website. This notice explains what personal information is collected when you visit pearlblack.co, why it is collected, and how it is handled. It applies to this website only and does not cover data processed under any product engagement, pilot, or commercial arrangement, which is governed separately.
Who collects your information
The operator of this website is pearlblack. For questions about how your information is handled, contact privacy@pearlblack.co.
What information we collect and why
We collect only the information that arises naturally from operating a web server and the specific interactions described below.
Infrastructure access logs. When you visit this site, Cloudflare (our infrastructure and content-delivery provider) processes your IP address, the URL requested, browser and device identifiers, and the time of the request as a standard part of routing and serving web traffic. This processing is necessary to deliver the site and to maintain its security and integrity.
Portal session cookies. If you are authorized to enter the pearlblack Portal, authentication is performed by Cloudflare Access: your email address is verified against an explicit allowlist and Cloudflare sets its own authorization cookie (CF_Authorization) to maintain your session, governed by Cloudflare's privacy terms. A separate operational cookie named pb_portal exists only for pearlblack's emergency operator entry. Both are strictly necessary for authenticated sessions, HttpOnly and Secure, expire automatically, and are not used for tracking or analytics of any kind.
Pilot request enquiries. The pilot-request form on this site opens a draft message in your email client addressed to info@pearlblack.co. Sending that message is your own action and subject to your email provider. Any information you include is received by us as email correspondence.
No analytics, no tracking, no third-party scripts
This site does not use any analytics service, tracking pixel, advertising network, or third-party script. No data is shared with any third party for advertising or profiling purposes. The Inter typeface used on this site is self-hosted; no external font service is called.
Cookies
The only cookies associated with this site are the Portal session cookies described above, and they are set only for authorized Portal users. No analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or persistent tracking cookies are used. Because these cookies are strictly necessary, they do not require separate consent under applicable cookie rules.
Infrastructure processor
Cloudflare, Inc. acts as an infrastructure processor for this site. Cloudflare processes network-level data (including IP addresses and request metadata) on our behalf in order to route, protect, and deliver web traffic. Cloudflare operates under its own privacy commitments and data-processing terms.
Data retention
Session cookies expire automatically and are not stored on our servers. Access log retention is governed by Cloudflare's infrastructure practices; we do not maintain additional server-side access logs. Pilot enquiry emails received at info@pearlblack.co are kept in correspondence for as long as is necessary to respond to and administer the enquiry and any resulting engagement.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, or restrict the processing of personal information we hold, or to object to processing. Because this site collects minimal data and relies on Cloudflare for infrastructure, the practical scope of these rights in relation to this site is limited. Children
This site is not directed at individuals under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our practices change or when law requires it. The updated notice replaces this one at this URL.
